TM Technologies, Inc

TM Technologies, Inc. is a spinout from the R&D lab of Medusa Scientific. The initial effort stems from a request in 2010 from a US government agency to develop a communications technology which could carry two discrete yet uncoded data paths, completely transparent to each other for drone use-cases.

Following intensive research, an analog engineer and scientist, Richard Gerdes, was recruited for his work along these lines. After two years of lab work, TM was proven and demonstrated in low frequency analog circuitry, and TM Technologies, Inc. was formed to commercialize the technology in higher frequencies appropriate for telecom integrations.

In 2021, TM made its initial debut in digital form and in 2022 it was shown to operate seamlessly over OFDM waveforms – the standard waveform for 4G & 5G.

Sadly, Rick Gerdes passed away in 2018, never getting to see the outcome of his intense research and engineering efforts at creating this unique basic waveform.
